AVEO have officially opened the doors to stage 1 of its Carindale redevelopment, featuring two multi-storey, contemporary apartment buildings designed by Deicke Richards. The new buildings’ designs offer abundant lifestyle opportunities and low care options that enable retiree residents to remain living independently as part of their local community, even as their needs change. The buildings are part of a broader site master plan also developed by DR for the AVEO retirement community.
The new buildings comprise studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments with an exceptional quality of interior finish, plenty of natural light and a generous sense of space. The development also includes consulting rooms to accommodate a GP, allied health and care professionals; and recreational and dining amenities including the restaurant, bar, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool, movie theatre, library, games room, activity room and a beauty salon.
The buildings were designed to maximise their desirable position, with communal areas overlooking a stretch of leafy parkland on Bulimba Creek. Carindale shopping centre and community facilities are located immediately adjacent to the apartments.
This stage of the redevelopment was launched today. Launch attendees included members of the AVEO executive team, building staff, new residents, members of the existing AVEO retirement community and representatives from the design and construction teams. Live music and a coffee truck enhanced the festive atmosphere.
