A New GLC for Logan City Special School

6 March 2021

Logan City Special School has welcomed students back to campus for 2021 and into its much anticipated two-storey General Learning Centre, designed by Deicke Richards.

We worked collaboratively with the school and DoE to maximise opportunities and thoughtfully integrate the GLC with the rest of the school.

The new building features eight classrooms, therapy and staff spaces, kitchen and life-skill areas, breakout spaces and generous outdoor learning areas, with an undercroft allowing for an additional four classrooms, therapy and staff spaces in the future.

Pitched roofs and large windows invite abundant natural light into the building, while splashes of colour add character. The GLC opens onto green space and an easily accessible new basketball court.
