As we all rapidly adapt to new working practices including daily zoom meetings and virtual site visits, the wheels of our design practice keep turning.
The latest milestones include practical completion for Mount Ommaney Special School’s new Learning Centre and for independent seniors’ apartments and community facilities at Lady Small Haven on the Gold Coast.
Seniors living and education are specialist areas close to the practice’s heart. They are high demand service areas where projects are continuing to progress, alongside the evolving Covid-19 response requirements.
Mount Ommaney Special School’s new Learning Centre will enrich students’ vocational learning opportunities and encourage community engagement. It’s one of a series of recent special school commissions in an expanding area of the practice’s education design expertise.
Lady Small Haven (pictured above) is a staged redevelopment of an existing seniors’ community for Churches of Christ, an important seniors living and housing client of DR’s for more than a decade.
Stay tuned for more about these projects into the future.
