Deicke Richards Releases Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
1 February 2022
At Deicke Richards, we use design to achieve social purpose and reconciliation must be a part of that.
We are proud to have worked with Reconciliation Australia on our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which was formally endorsed last month.
Since 2006, RAPs have provided a framework for organisations to leverage their structures and diverse spheres of influence to support the national reconciliation movement. The program’s potential for impact is greater than ever, with close to 3 million people now working or studying in an organisation with a RAP.
In the early stages of our reconciliation journey, we have established a Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group of six individuals from across our team to advance the delivery of our RAP – and encourage understanding of and respect for the histories, cultures and contributions of First Nations people and the importance of creating meaningful relationships with and opportunities for them.
We believe it’s our duty, in our daily lives and work with First Nations individuals and organisations, to be the best allies we can be.
