Caboolture State High School – CCIC and agriculture facilities

Encouraging integrative learning in a diverse campus

DR has designed a new and fully integrated College of Civil Infrastructure and Construction (CCIC), along with vocational Agriculture (Ag) facilities, both of which are currently being constructed. Caboolture State High School operates the CCIC, as well as having a long-established Ag program as part of its curriculum. Both of these facilities needed to relocate to enable construction of a new Caboolture Senior Special School.

The relocation provided the opportunity to completely renew the CCIC and Ag facilities, which were a collection of original and ageing buildings. The CCIC had previously been separate from the Ag facilities so it also offered the chance for it to become more integral to the Ag program. The arrangement of the new facilities will enable both the existing SHS and the new Special School to access and engage directly with the Ag and CCIC facilities. In the future, curriculum programs can be shared across all streams, fostering an integrated and diverse school campus.
