Tim Zieth, Principal

Tim Zieth is a Principal at Deicke Richards with 20 years of professional experience, including 19 years with the practice. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture and is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, Learning Environments Australasia, and is an accredited Liveable Housing Design Guidelines (LHDG) assessor.

At Deicke Richards, Tim leads and coordinates project teams across all stages of delivery, from the submission phase and concept design through to documentation, tender, and construction. In addition to project leadership, he plays a key role in managing the practice’s quality management systems and contributes to the overall leadership and direction of the office. His sector focus includes education, housing, community, and sporting projects.

Tim is particularly motivated by mentoring and supporting emerging practitioners and takes pride in guiding graduates through to registration and helping them develop into confident project architects. His expertise spans project management, design resolution, consultant coordination, and contract administration, underpinned by a pragmatic and disciplined approach to delivery.

Tim’s career highlights include the Sunnybank Hills State School GLA Building, where he acted as Project Architect from submission through to practical completion, and the TriCare Kawana Waters project, which received a commendation at the Queensland State Architecture Awards. The Sunnybank Hills school community also recognised his contribution with an award at the building opening.

Driven by the belief that the best solution is often the simplest, Tim approaches design with clarity and restraint and focuses on robust outcomes that serve users well over time.
