St Thomas Aquinas Centre Unveiled
16 March 2021
Our latest work in education, the St Thomas Aquinas Centre, was blessed and officially opened last week.
The Centre creates a welcoming and layered sequence of entry experiences for students, staff and parents. It also brings the College’s teaching staff and curriculum leaders together, providing them with flexible, centrally-located workspaces.
Bishop Ken Howell PP SLL, with Father Gerard McMorrow and Father Stephen Camiolo, officiated at the blessing and opening ceremony, alongside school leaders including Principal Peter Hurley and representatives of Brisbane Catholic Education.
Principal Peter Hurley commented the new centre created a ‘pre-tertiary’ environment to prepare students for future learning — “a place where students and teachers alike can work and learn in contemporary, collaboratives spaces with lots of light and flexibility.”
